On the doorsteps of Los Angeles, and yet a world away, the gate guarded community of Castle Ranch will offer 250 distinct estate size homes of 4800+ square feet, on lots up to and over an acre of land, for far less than comparable homes just 25 minutes away in Valencia and Santa Clarita Valley. The property sits on the foothills of the Liebre Mountains; at elevations ranging from 2,700¢ to 3,000'. The homes will have commanding views of the scenic California Poppy Reserve and the spectacularly rugged mountain ranges to the north, Palmdale/Lancaster to the East, and the vast open spaces of the Mojave Desert.  Because of the elevation and the high valley location, the local climate offers four distinctive seasons a year. The spring brings a panorama of wildflowers and bright orange and red native poppies, and during winter the site, on occasion, is lightly dusted with snow.

The development will be centered around a Spa/Resort setting and will incorporate a low impact development that fits entirely within its surroundings and provides a balance between housing and its natural environment. The estate homesites will be grouped in such a manner as to provide the maximum benefit of the views and to create wide-open areas for the homeowners’ enjoyment. All lots shall have their backyards facing open spaces.

 

A golf park, 6-acre recreational lake, horse trails with a community stables will be created. The historic Indian springs and artifacts would be preserved as an outdoor barbeque area and park. The Castle structure will be turned into a Winery/Spa Resort, with vineyards situated on the hillsides behind the Castle. The existing stables shall be turned in to recreation center and sports club with a small grocery store/coffee shop overlooking the lake. A 2000 seat amphitheater will be set on top of the hill, overlooking the Poppy Reserve, and shall become the exclusive venue for spring and summertime concerts and other community events. Other amenities will include a 2-mile paseo pathway, bridges, and a waterfall.

 

The relaxed atmosphere, clean air and wide open spaces adds to a great quality of life that makes this location truly an oasis in the congested, over burdened Los Angeles County.
